Toptech Transport and Logistics, the leading road safety management and ISO certified company in Africa has completed a three week Training of Trainers programme for Ghana Police as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme for its 26th anniversary celebrations.

The participants were taking through various topics such as vehicle maintenance, trip planning, defensive driving, vehicle instrumentation, Legal Obligations of drivers among others. Medical and other consultants delivered lectures on Driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, Fatigue and Fire management and First Aid.

The programme shall enhance the Training of the Police in handling both Saloon and HDV drivers. Mr. Cecil Garbrah, the CEO of Toptech and a road safety advocate, said it was necessary to transfer knowledge to Ghana Police for new recruits to study the rules of our roads, before passing out from the police training school. This will improve their skills and be roadsafety compliant.

ISO 9001: 2015 certificates were presented to the participants. Toptech also donated a laptop with all presentations as well as two dual pedalled vehicles to the Ghana Police. On behalf of the Inspector General of Police, The Director General – Services, COP Enoch Adutwum Bediako, thanked the management and staff of Toptech for its kind gesture and reiterated that Ghana Police will continue to partner with Toptech Transport and Logistics to set up this model in all other regions.
