Toptech celebrates 30 years of driving road safety forward
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Toptech Transport and Logistics marked a major milestone, 30 years
of transforming driver training and championing road safety in Ghana. What began as a vision to
raise the standard of driving has evolved into a national force shaping safer roads, professional
drivers, and a stronger transport ecosystem.
This landmark anniversary celebration brought together distinguished stakeholders from
government, security services, and Corporate Ghana – each united by a shared commitment to
advancing road safety.
A Legacy Recognized
The event, held under the theme “30 Years of Driving Road Safety Forward: Built on Experience,
Driven by the Future,” was chaired by a representative of the Honourable Minister for Transport. In
his keynote address, he praised Toptech’s unwavering contribution to road safety and professional
driver development over the past three decades, emphasizing the critical role of collaboration
between public and private institutions.
Key insights were also shared by Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, whose Director for Driver
Training, Testing and Licensing, Mr. Kafui Semevor, highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at
simplifying and strengthening driver training and licensing systems in Ghana.
The presence of the Ghana Police Service further underscored Toptech’s long-standing impact.
Their partnership has led to the successful training of police drivers and the establishment of the
Ghana Police Driving School, an initiative supported by Toptech through the training and donation
of vehicles and training resources.
A Journey of Impact and Innovation
In a compelling presentation, Toptech’s Founder and CEO, Mr. Cecil Ebow Garbrah, took guests
through the company’s remarkable journey, one defined by innovation, resilience, and measurable
impact.
A key highlight was the reaffirmation of Toptech’s commitment to excellence through its ISO
certification, positioning the company among globally recognized institutions delivering worldclass driver training and retraining.
Expanding Horizons: Training for Global Opportunities
Looking ahead, Toptech is not just raising standards locally – it’s opening doors globally.
The CEO unveiled new ISO-certified forklift and truck/trailer driving programs, specifically
designed for experienced drivers of at least 6 years of manual car driving. These programs go
beyond skill development—they create pathways for international employment, with structured
opportunities for trained drivers to work in Europe and earn competitive salaries.
This marks a bold step in aligning Ghanaian driver training with global demand.
Four Flagship Initiatives Shaping the Future
As part of its 30th anniversary, Toptech introduced four transformative initiatives that will define its
next chapter:
- Road Safety Clinics
Bringing education directly to communities and institutions (including schools and
commercial transport stations) to deepen awareness and promote safer road behaviours. - Establishment of an NGO – “Friends of Accident Victims”
A newly launched initiative focused on supporting accident victims and advocating for
improved post-crash care systems. - Arrive Alive – ISO Certified Defensive Driving for Corporate Ghana
Specialized ISO training programs aimed at improving driver behaviour and reducing risk
within organizations. - Strategic Institutional Partnerships
Collaborations with key stakeholders to drive large-scale, sustainable road safety
campaigns across Ghana and beyond.
Driving the Vision Forward
“For 30 years, Toptech has been committed to saving lives through quality, ISO-certified driver
training and road safety advocacy,” the CEO affirmed. “With our expanded portfolio and global
outlook, we are positioned to deliver even greater value—both locally and internationally.”
MoreThan a Celebration – It’s A Call to Action
Toptech’s 30th anniversary was not just a celebration of past achievements – it was a renewed call
to action hence the recital of the Toptech Road Safety pledge by all stakeholders present at the
event to reaffirm their commitment to Road Safety. We encourage all institutions, both public and
private to adopt this pledge to help push the road safety agenda in Ghana.
The Toptech Road Safety Pledge
I pledge my commitment to responsible driving. I will obey the traffic laws and promote a culture of
safety on our roads. I pledge to respect every road user. Today, tomorrow and always.
So, help me God.
In totality, it was;
A call for stronger partnerships.
A call for safer roads.
A call for a future where every journey ends safely
